Singer songwriter Rosie also known as Rosita Vai hails from the shores of Wellington, New Zealand - recently moved to Sydney, Australia
Earlier this year Rosie released her debut single and video clip "Koko Rice" featuring hip hop artist GiantKilla.
Rosie spent the majority of 2014 globe-trotting as part of the ensemble cast of the critically acclaimed ‘The Factory’ – a nod to Pacific migration in Aoteraroa during the 1960’s and early 1970’s. ‘The Factory’ performed to sell-out audiences across Australia including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She debuted at the Auckland Arts Festival 2015 presenting her new work from her debut EP “Everything’s Rosie” releasing end of December.
Her gifted vocals have enabled her to work with some of New Zealand’s most talented musicians including Aaradhna, Bella Kalolo, producer Dee Letoa from the Soul duo Cydel. With a deep sense of pride in her heritage, Rosie combines her Pacific culture with her classical training a fusion of soul, gospel and R&B to create a fresh sound that a diverse audience can appreciate.
