Matavai Cultural Arts

Established in 2013, Matavai Cultural Arts became the first centre of its kind in Sydney, Australia, spreading the word of peace and equality through dance, music, language and creative arts

Promoting cultural diversity within Pacific communities, students of Matavai learn about Pacific heritages and how to appreciate it.

Since its inception, Matavai Cultural Arts continue to be the prominent source of Pacific Cultural arts in NSW. It also aims to promote the positive fundamentals of Pacific Islands heritage.

Matavai have a dedicated team who provide teachings of the traditional, modern and creative spectrum which also encourages and cultivates the creative talents of the students and enhancing their cultural identity. 

Matavai have over 300 students enrolled in programs, 50 showgroup students and numerous fire dancers. The teachers also teach pacific cultural arts in schools.
