A Yellow Bird (Singapore) - Siva a Singaporean-Indian man is released after in prison for contraband smuggling. Unable to find forgiveness form his mother, he begins a quest to locate his ex-wife and daughter. Just as he finds solace and hope in the company of an illegal Chinese sex worker, he is confronted with an unbearable truth about his family.

Vātsalyam: South Asian Expressions of Parenting Love (Australia) - Child rearing practices amongst South Asians are adapting and changing to the demands of modern living. The film, Vātsalyam, explores positive parenting experiences of South Asian communities living in Sydney, with the aim to bridge the knowledge gap in human services and community agencies regarding cross-cultural child rearing practices, as well as assisting the communities themselves to share and learn about positive parenting practices from each other.

Ottaal (India) - Based on Anton Chekhov’s short story Vanka, Ottaal centers on eight-year-old Kuttappayi, an orphan who goes to live with his only living relative, his grandfather in the Kerala countryside.
